Lancome Pro Base Review

This was a bit random for me as I didnt actually buy this, my mom had a bit (understatement of the year) of a splurge on Lancome a couple of months ago and came to the conclusion she wasn't sure what was supposed to do what. Now for me this product was pretty simple, its a primer and an expensive one at that, so I said I would give it a go and see what I thought and since I was testing it on for her I figured why not put a post on it aswell.

So for £28.50 I have to say I was expecting a miracle of some sort to occur on my face. It didnt happen. This is a very nice primer, leaves a velvet feel to the skin, keeps my make-up in place all day and basically does everything I could possibly want from a primer; so why do I not want to pay nearly £30 for it? Well that would be because they are plenty of primers from the drugstore that do the exact same job for much cheaper.

Overall this is a great product it just isn't exceptional enough to warrant such a big price tag when there are so many cheaper alternatives. I would like to add though I am dry/sensitive skinned so this may work more effectively for those with normal/combination.

Let me know your favourite primer below, I read every comment and reply to any questions you may have!

  1. Sounds like a great product, but I agree, very expensive! Great blog, I have followed you with Bloglovin and if you ever get a chance to check out my blog I would be delighted, thanks!

  2. It is expensive but a once-in-a-while-splurge like this one is acceptable I guess ;) My favourite primer of all time is Benefit's Porefessional. I love the finish it gives to my skin; velvety and the pores are completely invisible literally! It also keeps the skin shine free. I love it. Just fount your blog, great post x
